What CTPAT is. The Customs Trade Partnership Against Terrorism is a voluntary program run by U.S. Customs and Border Protection. Members agree to secure their supply chain against a published set of Minimum Security Criteria (MSC). In return they get fewer inspections, shorter wait times, and priority treatment when cargo does get held. CBP weighs each application on its own facts, and a significant security related event in your history can count against you whatever this check says.
